We not only supply cold-heading steels but also seamlessly integrate the critical manufacturing processes.

Creation Group provides end-to-end solutions for the cold-forming industry, spanning raw material selection, cold-heading steel supply, cold-heading tooling, heat treatment, surface finishing, and failure analysis.

Our role is not to replace our customers’ manufacturing decisions, but rather to integrate materials, tooling, processes, inspection, and root-cause analysis into a single technical chain, thereby reducing information gaps across functional boundaries and helping customers enhance the stability of part forming and on-time mass delivery.

A five-stage technical chain, from materials to failure analysis

For each project, we begin with the end‑part requirements, operating conditions, and volume‑production targets, then work backward to validate the material selection, tooling, process parameters, surface finish, and verification plan.

End-to-end process control from wire rod to cold-formed steel products

Our manufacturing system encompasses raw material verification, pickling and phosphating, spheroidizing annealing, wire drawing, shaped‑section processing, inspection, and packaging and delivery. Key processes and quality data are captured in order‑specific records that are readily queryable and fully traceable.

From specialty grades to near-net‑shape materials

Focusing on the final part, cold‑heading deformation levels, strength–ductility windows, cross‑sectional geometry, and downstream processes, we collaborate with steel mills, toolmakers, and customers to carry out trials, material and process validation, and production ramp‑up.

Specialty materials and new grade customization

For components that cannot be met by existing standard grades, we work with steel mills to design chemical compositions, smelting routes, and delivery conditions, and validate import substitution or dedicated materials through small‑batch trials.

Project materials include 41CrS4, 10B38, 16MnCr5, 10B21M, and 34CrNiMo6, among others; some special projects can begin with trials of approximately 200 kg, with applicability confirmed based on mill scheduling and the technical agreement.

Customization of specialized mechanical property windows

We do not simply deliver by grade, but rather establish a project‑specific performance window for the final part, centered on diameter, tensile strength, elongation, and in‑coil and inter‑batch variability.

Past project examples include SWCH10A 6.30 mm, whole‑coil performance control for C4C, and high‑strength wire for 10B21 1.92 mm; the figures shown on the website are for demonstration purposes only, and order requirements are subject to the technical agreement.

03 · STRENGTH & FORMABILITY

High‑strength and high‑deformation forming synergy

Through coordinated adjustments to composition, spheroidizing annealing, drawing reduction ratios, and delivery condition, we develop materials that balance high strength with complex multi‑station cold heading.

In the 10B21 and SCM435 projects, actual multi‑station cold‑heading samples, cold upsetting, metallography, and mechanical testing are used in tandem for validation, avoiding the use of single metrics to substitute for forming outcomes.

Material and tool development for irregular cold‑headed parts

Starting from the final part, we reverse‑engineer the material cross section, fiber flow, forming stations, and die loading, collaboratively developing preformed materials and cold‑heading tooling solutions for non‑standard geometries.

This approach is suitable for complex components such as seat belt locking mechanisms, potentially reducing machining, powder metallurgy, or multi‑stage reshaping operations; the extent of performance and cost improvements is validated on a per‑project basis.

Development of irregular cross‑section materials

Targeting seat belt lock blocks, bearing retainers, transmission components, and precision structural parts, we develop non‑circular cross sections, complex profiles, and near‑net‑shape materials.

In alignment with customer drawings, we jointly control key dimensions, tolerances, fillet radii, surface quality, and batch consistency, and complete sample validation in conjunction with the subsequent forming route.

Ultra‑thin wall tube material and process development

Focusing on the plasticity of small‑size, ultra‑thin wall tubes, wall thickness uniformity, roundness, surface condition, and cut‑end distortion, we coordinate material, drawing or forming, tooling, and inspection solutions.

Photographs of actual samples show caliper readings of 0.53 mm and 0.27 mm; final dimension definitions, tolerances, and measurement methods are governed by the drawing, gauge calibration, and the technical agreement.

The above represents our R&D and project case capabilities and does not constitute a standard supply commitment for all grades or values. The final material, dimensions, performance, trial quantities, and acceptance criteria are determined by mutually agreed drawings, applicable standards, and the technical agreement.
